Two Asian Girls Convinced They're Twins Starting Kickstarter Fund To Raise Enough Money So That They Can Meet
MSN – Imagine this: You’re watching some video on YouTube when you spot someone who looks exactly like you. Not, like, sort-of-maybe like you — exactly like you. That’s what happened to Anais Bordier, a French fashion student who saw a three-minute comedy clip starring American actress Samantha Futerman. The resemblance was so uncanny that Bordier reached out to Futerman — and the women, both South Korean natives who were adopted at birth, discovered that they shared the same birthday. Now, they’re convinced that they’re twin sisters — and they’ve launched a successful Kickstarter campaign to document their first meeting and confirm it with a DNA test.
Sometimes, folks…sometimes the jokes just write themselves. 2 Asian chicks find each other and think they look alike. 2 Asian girls look similar, so they think they’re twins. Hey girls welcome to every single day in the life of a non Asian people. If we did DNA tests every time there were two Asians that looked alike, we’d be doing billions of tests every second of every day from now until the end of eternity. I mean, don’t get me wrong – I know I’m ignorant an ignorant white guy for thinking it. Round Eye can’t tell the difference between Asians. But actual Asians are supposed to be able to do this shit! They are supposed to know they aren’t all related. C’mon Anais! Gimme a break, Samantha! You’re not all related.
PS – As far as Asians go, I really don’t think those two look that much alike. If you told me they were sisters, I would obviously believe you. But I wouldn’t automatically jump to “we’re twins.”
